You may be able to remove the pieces holding down the heatsink, I have had to do that in the past with an HP I believe, you could also try buying a new heatsink, there pretty cheap.

really??? AWSOME It would so cool to test out my new case!!

How did you remove this from your HP mobo? I want the metal piece intact, because eventaully, it will be going back to my old case im thinking.


Im thinking if i get some bold cutters, then i could snap the metal connectors then pull it right off, but then that would mean id never be able to use the metal piece again, but if thats what i have to do to remove it, i guess thats what im gonna do :(

Yeah If I remember correctly I just broke them off, also check for screws near the center of the mobo and around other components that might be holding on that metal tray, Nice fan on the top of the case btw, bigger the better

I want to be able to put the PC back in the old Dell case(so i can just sell all the old unused parts in one package), so i dont want to break that metal part if possible
