SUPER BUMP !!
I know ! Talk about bringing back the dead ! But I just had to share this with you guys....
If you warch TV you have seen Comcast's new commercial for Xfinity.... and on that commercial they say about internet speed : " .....and 100Mbps coming soon. " Well here is a snapshot of a speedtest I ran at a local business install I did today :
http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w172/tony100571/speedtestcomcastnet.jpg
And these customers are not subscribing to 50Mbps then alone 100 ! Heck ! We don't even offer 100Mbps yet !

Not too bad, don't care much about uploading, more so on the "downloading."

Wow this bump sure got everyone excited. Looks like comcast (its funny, its almost looks like corncast) is the winner so far, particularly with the uploading.
@maddios, yeah I don't actually care about my upload either.
I'm mainly just trying to figure out why mine is so low compared to everyone elses. Other folks with TimeWarner tend to get at least 1.0 Mb/s (which is the rate Timewarner has stated as normal), I just wish I knew why mine sucks.
I do have an unusual setup in that I'm using an Apple airport extreme as my standard wireless router, but I don't imagine that really effects this computer which is direct connected.
@Beyond the Grave Very nice specs for wireless! Good job!

Froth...could it be a firewall/virus software setting ?
Or maybe a port configuration. Krule , a while back, posted a great " how to " on icreasing spped...but it was for XP. I wonder if there is something simular for Vista/7 ??. It had to do with setting priorities in some system settings. And some other stuff ??
