I haven't seen yall in a while.................... ......................... ......
This is my problem.
I have a keyboard that works with my volume panel, I could spin the volume wheel on keyboard to control the volume. That doesn't work anymore, the volume meter that appears when I spin the wheel, seems to be frozen.
That's not all, if there's a caution/note/warning sound that "ding" tone, it doesn't come out. But instead it beeps inside my computer (not my speaker). that beep noise. And my mic doesn't work. Wtf? Is it my sound card?

Hmmm, interesting. The few sound problems I have had have usually been software related. Do you have a sound card? Most MB's nowadays have pretty decent sound built in. I use my Mb's sound and the program it came with (Realtek) to run my sound/volume settings.
1) Try using another keyboard and restartig your rig. If possible try to use one that is the older 9 pin connector, and not a newer USB connector.
2) Click on the speaker icon at the lower right of your desktop. This is the best area to actually manage your sounds, unless your super geek. Now check where the setting are and see if any of them have been muted or lowered.
3) You can also go into sounds via your control panel..
4) Its less likely your bios has changed, but if it is from the bios that you would adjust your sound for onboard or soundcard.
5) Update your drivers( Probably not neccessary, sound drivers don't change much)
6) Take out your soundcard and let your onboard sound take over and see if that 'fixes' it, in which case you may have a defective sound card.
Win7 has(or has had) a number of sound issues in my experience, particularly when the computer's peripherals are older, but you still have XP if I remember.
Does any sound work at all? How about your mike?
Good luck!

post your specs if you can
Canis gave some good advice, i would start by reinstalling your sound driver if you know how, then trying your on board sound.
