How can I determine whether mine allows DDR 1 RAM or DDR 2 RAM?
Sorry if it was a noobish question, isn't that what the Help and Support is for? :D

You still have your Motherboard drivers/booklet? it says the version on there, and from that you can look it up and check it's specs on the website.

thb... time it takes to dl and run test: 1 minute tops. 5 minutes if you have 56k. http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_149.zip
time it takes you find all that stuff greasybacons way: at least 5 minutes, and some googling, IF he even has the booklet...

If ur comp is 4-5yrs old or older its ddr1. If its 0-3 yrs old its prob ddr2. But I would do what bacon said to learn more. Most MB's have a whole webpage describing all of their capabilities in magnificent detail.
xiohexia..does this cpuid program do/tell you other things as well? Is it worth checking out?

lol yes... cpuz pretty much tells you most of the technical details about your processor, cache, mobo, and ram.
another one that i believe isnt free is "everest"... it tells you EVERYTHING about your computer... its very useful for when you wipe your drive and your looking for drivers and you dont know what the exact name of the part is.
but cpu z is mostly cpu/mobo/ram centered.
